Welcome to this unique, interesting, and lovely farm!
Fogdegården Borten welcomes volunteers of all ages, backgrounds, and skills, who want to experience life on an organic farm in Norway and have a sincere interest to help out here.
Fogdegården Borten is a medium sized Norwegian farm (27 hectares of farmed land and a lot of forest land) in the middle of Norway, about 23 km south of Trondheim. The farm is run actively and diversely with many different animals (about 45 sheep, 80 lambs, 25 cattle of a preserved old Norwegian breed, 15 Shetland ponies, 150 certified organic free range hens, 2 female pigs with litters, rabbits and cats), organic vegetable production, grain and winter feed production for the animals, a small riding school for children, and a B&B. The farm is owned run by me (Merete Støvring), a 51 year old single mother.
